Membership is free and is divided into three categories:

VOLUNTEERS:

Volunteers are people who offer to give their time to the home. They will help and accompany in programs, tours and trips with the children. They can also help with laundry, cleaning, cooking, etc.

SPONSORS:

Sponsors can also be called foster parents. These sponsors closely monitor the children’s’ needs; i.e., schooling, health, clothing etc. and can build a personal relationship with that child. Letter writing and personal visits are strongly encouraged. Sponsors can develop a relationship with “their” child. The child sponsorship program is a monthly donation of $30, which goes toward the care of your sponsored child. Also, sponsors will receive regular updates and photos of their child. It takes 10 sponsors to cover the costs of caring for one child. At this point, 100% of your donation will go to Docsek Home, as our U.S. Director, Sherry Holbrook, does not use any donated funds to run the Docsek office or to travel to Zambia. When a person chooses to commit to a child, they will receive a “Foster Certificate” in recognition. Sponsors are entitled to receive quarterly reports for the finances and materials they have donated.

POTENTIAL PARTNERS:

Persons interested in looking at the general development of Docsek should become a partner with us. Partners will work on general and administrative proposals. These can be individuals, NGOs, companies, or funding agencies that are capable of handling the huge demands of an institution. These partners will be interested in helping to fund and ensure the success of the home.
