UPCOMING TRIPS!!

Volunteer opportunities at Docsek Home available for a trips planned for the near future. Join our team and work with the children, teaching basic English and math skills, organizing learning games, arts and crafts and counseling. The focus will be on just having fun with the children and helping them enjoy their lives. There will also be community-based programs such as hospital visitation and blanket distribution. Volunteers must pay their own expenses, including travel, food, and accommodations. You can also support the orphanage by donating clothing, shoes, toys, books, school supplies, videos, DVDs and toiletries. Items do not have to be new, but must be in good condition. Our message to the general public and to all those willing to help in this movement is to come forth and register with Pastor Shern at Docsek Home - Mazabuka, Zambia.  For those far away, you can get in touch with him on the Internet by e-mailing to: docshern@yahoo.com.  Yes!  You feel you want to be part of the sensitization but you are far, my friend you can still be part of the group by sending your donation.  Be it material, financial or any other, please get in touch with Pastor Shern for all the details.

Note that this is a move initiated by Docsek.  We know that we can't manage to get all the children from the community, but we can still help better their lives right where they are.  Be a prayer warrior!

FRESH ANNOINTING CONFERENCE:

Life Transforming Ministries International held a City Conference with the theme: FRESH ANNOINTING with Dr. Ronnie Moodley of Faith Ministry International in South Africa.  This conference took place right in our church at Life Transforming Tabernacle July 30 through August 3, 2008. 

EUROPE TRIP:

Pastor Shern Kaumba of Life Transforming Ministries International and Executive Director of Docsek Children's Home visited Europe from the 28th of August to the 21st of September, 2008.  This was an opportunity for those in the Netherlands, Belgium and Holland to meet Pastor Shern in person.  Being a preacher and servant of God, he visited the sick, some schools, children's institutions and other places.   The Lord uses Pastor Shern in praying for the sick and many miracles have happened to the many he has prayed for.  This was a chance for people Pastor Shern visited to be healed. 

Pastor Shern celebrated his birthday while in Europe on September 12, 2008. 

COMMUNITY AWARENESS:

Pastor Shern and Tabitha recently had an awareness program in Nkonkola rural areas of Mazabuka where they had a function attended by more than 1000 people.  People were so happy as the word of God was said, the messages about HIV/AIDS and also care for orphans and vulnerable children.  It was on the same day that we had about 57 people who voluntarily came up to be counseled and tested for HIV/AIDS and this was immediately done by the TCE group which was invited by Docsek Children's Home.  See the photos of the crowds as Pastor Shern was giving out blankets, books, bibles and other materials.
